Steve Adams was born in Middleton, Ohio and started singing
professionally at age 17 with a group called Cheyenne. The
band traveled around the country for about two years and
opened up for bands such as Tommy James and The Shondells,
The Young Rascals, (as they were called then!) The Royal
Guardsmen, (Snoopy and The Red Baron) and The Turtles.
In 1989, Steve did the "Elvis thing". It started out as more of a
joke, but escalated into something much more. For the first year
and a half, Steve was accompanied by taped music. He knew
he needed a real band, and formed Kentucky Rain. Having a
live band has helped to bring in some sweet gigs (and some dogs
too!)
Steve says, "I can honestly say that I've enjoyed this more than
any other experience I have had
in music over the years."
